Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, and Jordan officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup

Here are the teams qualified so far for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, scheduled to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico:

United States, Canada, Mexico

Teams qualified through qualifiers:

Asia: Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, South Korea, Australia

South America: Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay

Oceania: New Zealand

Africa: Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt

Teams qualified for the playoff:

New Caledonia, Bolivia

– The qualifiers are divided as follows:

Asia (8), Africa (9), CONCACAF (6), South America (6), Oceania (1), Europe (16). This division accounts for 46 of the 48 participating teams. The playoff involving six other teams will decide two more spots in the World Cup.

– The 48 participating teams will be split into 12 groups of four teams each, with the winner and runner-up of each group qualifying for the round of 32, a format introduced for the first time in World Cup history, along with the best eight third-placed teams.

The opening match will be held on June 11, 2026, at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New York.

16 stadiums will host the finals (11 in the United States, 3 in Mexico, and 2 in Canada).
