The first football team of Zamalek Club is preparing to face its counterpart Dekedaha from Somalia in the first leg of the preliminary round of the African Confederation Cup, which will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 6 PM at Cairo Stadium.

Zamalek will resume training today, Thursday, in preparation for the match, after the team returned from the rest period granted by the Belgian coach Ferreira.

Ferreira granted the Zamalek players a 4-day rest from training after the 1-1 draw with Ghazl El Mahalla in the tenth round of the league.

Ferreira returned from his country yesterday, Wednesday, and is scheduled to hold a meeting today with Hussein Labib, the club president, to discuss the team’s recent results.

In recent days, Zamalek officials have held continuous meetings with John Edward due to the level the team has reached, as reflected in recent matches, including draws against El Gouna and Ghazl El Mahalla and a loss to Al Ahly.
