Real Madrid issued a medical statement on its official website revealing details about the injury of its young defender Deyn Hoesen, sustained recently.

The statement read: “Examinations conducted today on our player Deyn Hoesen by Real Madrid’s medical services showed a muscle injury in the left calf. His condition will be monitored over the coming days.”

This injury is another blow to the royal team, which is already suffering a defensive injury crisis ahead of the upcoming match, with Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, and Trent Alexander-Arnold all sidelined.

Hoesen left the Spanish national team camp “La Roja” to return to Real Madrid for treatment before the international break ends.

The club did not specify the duration of his absence, but initial indications suggest he will miss the upcoming El Clasico against Barcelona, as the medical staff aims to prepare him as quickly as possible without risking his participation before full recovery.

Real Madrid will face Barcelona on October 26 in the Spanish league’s first Clasico of the current season at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium at 6:15 PM Cairo time.
