Al Hilal of Sudan secured their qualification to the next round of the CAF Champions League after a valuable away win against Tanzania’s Young Africans (JAMUS) by 1-0, in a match held at Amaan Stadium, benefiting from a goalless draw in the first leg in Omdurman.

The match started evenly with both teams trying to control the midfield before Al Hilal took the offensive initiative. The first threat came after ten minutes, but the goal remained elusive for both sides.

In the 23rd minute, Al Hilal opened the scoring through their player Jean Claude Jeromegisha, who rose to meet a cross and headed powerfully into the Tanzanian goalkeeper’s net, giving his team the lead.

The home team tried to come back into the game, but the solid Sudanese defense prevented any equalizer.

The first half ended with Al Hilal leading 1-0. At the start of the second half, the Sudanese team continued to control the game, while the Tanzanian side retreated and made limited attempts that posed no real threat.

Al Hilal players missed several chances to double the score before the referee blew the final whistle, confirming the visitors’ victory and qualification.
