Wesam Abu Ali, former Al Ahly star, keenly followed the derby match between his former team and Zamalek, which ended with a 2-1 victory for Al Ahly on Monday evening at Cairo Stadium, as part of the ninth round of the Premier League.

Wesam Abu Ali posted a photo on his Instagram account while watching the derby, which his former team won, bringing Al Ahly closer to competing for the top spot again with their third win this season, in the first derby since Abu Ali’s transfer to the American team Columbus Crew.

Zamalek scored through Hossam Abdel Meguid in the 32nd minute from a penalty kick, Al Ahly’s Hussein El Shahat equalized in the 71st minute, and Trezeguet secured the win for Al Ahly with a penalty goal in the 78th minute.

Al Ahly’s points rose to 12 after their third win this season, moving up to third place, while Zamalek’s points remained at 17, maintaining first place in the league standings.
