Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, the doctor of Al Ahly football team, stated that Taher Mohamed Taher, the team’s player, experienced cramps in the front muscles during today’s match against Zamalek, noting that the player’s complaint was the reason for his substitution to prevent worsening the injury.

He explained that Taher will undergo a medical examination in the coming hours to determine the extent of the injury and to set an appropriate treatment program.

Al Ahly won against Zamalek 2-1 in the match held this Monday evening as part of the Premier League competition.

Zamalek took the lead through Hossam Abdel Meguid in the 32nd minute from a penalty kick, while Al Ahly scored through Hussein El Shahat in the 71st minute and Trezeguet in the 78th minute from a penalty kick.

With this result, Al Ahly raised its points to 12 and moved up to third place, while Zamalek’s points stopped at 17, remaining in first place in the league.
