The meeting held today by the Directorate of Freight Transport Regulation with administrative staff from various Syrian provinces focused on ways to develop work mechanisms and improve services in the freight transport sector, enhancing the role of freight transport regulation offices in organizing shipping movement, in addition to expanding their services to cover all areas more effectively.

Among the proposals presented by attendees was the establishment of a central body affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, and the creation of a new organizational structure and internal system aligned with the current stage’s requirements, aiming to modernize the freight transport sector.

This meeting comes within the ongoing approach of the Ministry of Transport to develop the land transport sector, enhance the role of freight transport regulation offices in organizing shipping movement, and facilitate the freight transport process more effectively.
