Dr. Ahmed Taha, Head of the Health Accreditation and Control Authority, stated that the heart muscle is a marvel, beating at a rate of 70 contractions per minute without stopping, noting that its sudden cessation leads to loss of life within minutes.

This was during his speech at the opening of the second annual conference of the General Authority for Healthcare, which focuses on excellence in heart diseases, under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population.

Taha emphasized the importance of adhering to modern therapeutic protocols in treating heart diseases, enforcing strict anti-smoking policies within healthcare facilities, and expanding presidential initiatives for early disease detection and treatment.

He added that these measures aim to provide a healthy, risk-free work environment and protect the hearts of Egyptians from fatal complications.
