Moscow, September 30, 2025 (WAL) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that its forces have taken control of two new towns in eastern Ukraine, eliminated 1,600 soldiers, and shot down 128 drones.

The ministry stated in a press release that Russian forces captured the towns of Kirovsk and Severesk Mali in Donetsk, targeting Ukrainian forces in 154 areas along the front lines, resulting in the elimination of 1,600 soldiers, dozens of combat vehicles, cars, artillery, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare stations.

It also noted that Russian warplanes, drones, missile forces, and artillery targeted railway infrastructure facilities used to transport weapons and fuel for the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as sites for storing and launching long-range drones.
