Ras Al Khaimah Police recorded zero traffic accidents during the first week of the current school year.
The police explained that achieving this target reflects the success of intensive police efforts and a comprehensive well-studied plan set by the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police for the start of the school year, to oversee traffic organization and achieve the desired smooth flow.
They added that the command deployed its capabilities to ensure the highest levels of traffic safety for students during their daily trips to and from schools. These measures included, alongside the intensive deployment of police patrols, the use of drones to monitor vital streets, detect any congestion or traffic jams, and address them immediately. They praised the cooperation of the public (parents, drivers, road users, school administrations, and school bus drivers) with police directives.
They also emphasized the necessity of continued public cooperation with police instructions aimed at ensuring the safety of students and road users, preventing traffic accidents, and maintaining smooth vehicle movement on roads to guarantee safe arrival for all users.
Ras Al Khaimah Police stated that the Traffic and Patrols Department, represented by the Traffic Awareness Branch, along with the Media and Public Relations Department, conducted educational and awareness lectures for drivers and supervisors of the Emirates Transport buses at the start of the administrative and teaching staff’s workday.
