A report from the agency stated: “The Progress MS-32 spacecraft will carry an improved and upgraded spacesuit from the ‘Orlan MKS’ suits to the International Space Station to assist astronauts in completing their tasks during spacewalks.”

The report noted that the enhanced Russian spacesuits produced by the company ‘Zvezda’, a subsidiary of Roscosmos, differ from the previous ‘Orlan MKS’ suits by providing greater mobility comfort for astronauts. They feature an outer fabric color that is almost white, and the internal water cooling layers are now covered with a black layer instead of blue as in previous suits.

According to Roscosmos, the new suit is equipped with all life support systems necessary for astronauts working in open space, allowing an astronaut to work outside the station for eight hours, while the water cooling system maintains a comfortable temperature during tasks.
