Jadon Sancho admitted that his loan move to Aston Villa for one season was strongly influenced by his former Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford, who played for the same team last season before moving on loan to Barcelona.
Sancho told Tribal Football: “I spoke with Rashford when he was here last season, and he told me he really enjoyed his experience. He described Aston Villa as a family club providing a friendly environment with great players and staff. I felt that as soon as I arrived.”
Sancho emphasized that he prioritizes team goals over individual ambitions: “As a player, it’s natural to have personal goals, but the team always comes first. We want to achieve great things together, and if the coach needs me, I’ll be ready. Winning as a team has a special meaning that surpasses any individual achievement.”
It is worth noting that Aston Villa signed Sancho on loan from Manchester United, in a move the player hopes will restore his shine after a difficult period at Old Trafford.
