Dubai Chambers, in partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce and the World Chambers Federation, has launched the Benchmarking Tool for Chambers of Commerce. This tool enables chambers to evaluate and compare their best practices related to operational excellence, along with seven key areas linked to core roles and responsibilities, benchmarked against regional and global averages in these fields.
Dubai Chambers stated in a press release yesterday that the tool was launched during their participation in the 14th World Chambers Congress, organized by the World Chambers Federation in Melbourne, Australia, from September 2 to 4. The tool’s features were presented to officials from over 1,200 chambers of commerce from 100 countries.
The Benchmarking Tool for Chambers of Commerce is an innovative initiative that contributes to a radical transformation of the working system of chambers worldwide, redefining the added value they provide to business communities by enhancing performance efficiency and supporting their ability to develop and improve all services and procedures, and elevate institutional practices.
The tool will help prepare chambers for the future, developing their role and direct impact in supporting economic growth. It provides a digital platform based on data analysis, allowing chambers to make comparisons with global standards, enabling the identification of areas for improvement and development while keeping pace with best international practices.
Mohamed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said: “This initiative embodies Dubai’s leadership as a global center for excellence and institutional innovation, complementing the emirate’s role in leading efforts to build a more resilient and sustainable future for business communities, through stimulating cross-border cooperation, activating global partnerships based on knowledge and experience exchange, and innovating qualitative solutions that keep pace with rapid economic changes.”
He added: “We are committed to continuing to develop the role of chambers of commerce as effective engines for economic development, empowering their efforts to support the private sector and enhance its competitiveness, relying on the latest excellence standards to contribute to raising operational efficiency and achieving added economic value.”
