Jordan’s medal count rose to 7.
The national swimming team concluded its participation in the 4th Arab Age Group Aquatic Championships held in Morocco, achieving remarkable accomplishments with a total of 7 medals: one gold, five silvers, and one bronze.
In the final competitions, swimmer Karen Al-Balbisi won the silver medal in the 400m freestyle with a time of 4:33.41 minutes, after previously winning the gold medal in the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:22.53 minutes, breaking the Arab record in this event, which is a significant achievement for the Jordanian swimmer.
The fourth day of the competition featured notable participation from several swimmers, including Serena Mihyar (age group 13-14) who placed seventh in the 400m freestyle with a time of 5:00.03 minutes, and Lin Al-Abdallat who finished eighth in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 3:01.98 minutes.
Omar Al-Kilani (age group 17-18) ranked twelfth in the 100m butterfly with a time of 1:00.03 minutes and fifth in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:31.30 minutes.
In the 15-16 age group, Sima Al-Khalidi finished fourth in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:10.37 minutes.
The participating delegation returned home the day before yesterday carrying great achievements and medals that demonstrated the progress of Jordanian swimming at the Arab level, with a new Arab record set by Karen Al-Balbisi.
