The UAE swimming team concluded its participation in the 4th Arab Aquatic Games for age groups, held in Casablanca, Morocco, with a haul of 11 medals (5 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze), alongside setting 5 new records, enhancing the status of Emirati swimming in the Arab arena.

Emirati swimmer Raheem Talib (age group 17-18) shone by winning three gold medals in the 800m freestyle with a time of 8:10.86 (previous record 8:20.611), 400m freestyle in 3:56.04 (previous 3:58.57), and 1500m freestyle in 15:47.42 (previous 16:07.37), in addition to a silver in the 200m freestyle, setting three records in long and middle distances.

Swimmer Hussein Shawqi also stood out by winning gold in the 50m butterfly with a time of 24.62 seconds (previous 25.14) and 50m freestyle in 22.88 seconds (previous 23.30), plus a silver in the 100m butterfly, adding two new records to the team’s tally.

On the women’s side, swimmer Edora Obara earned a bronze in the 100m freestyle and two silvers in the 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly, confirming her strong presence in the competitions. The team also secured a silver medal in the mixed 4×100m freestyle relay, completing the UAE’s achievements at the championship.
