Italian media reports confirm that English club Fulham is close to finalizing the signing of Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan for around 25 million euros including bonuses.
Football Italia reported that the player is preparing to travel to London in the coming hours to undergo medical tests ahead of completing the transfer.
The negotiations had briefly stalled due to other factors in the transfer market but have recently resumed on track.
Chukwueze, 25, joined Milan in summer 2023 from Spanish club Villarreal on a five-year contract after helping his former team win the 2020-2021 UEFA Europa League, but he struggled to establish himself strongly in the Italian league.
The Nigerian played 69 matches for the Rossoneri across various competitions, scoring only eight goals, which many considered below expectations following his arrival from La Liga.
With his anticipated move to Fulham, Chukwueze hopes to regain the form he showed at Villarreal and start a new chapter in the English Premier League.
