The Emirates Health Services Authority achieved an exceptional milestone by winning nine prestigious awards during the sixth edition of the Golden Initiative Certificate Awards “Star of Excellence in Patient Experience”, organized by the Arab Hospitals Federation in cooperation with the American Brail Institute specialized in promoting patient experience culture. The event was held under the patronage and presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in recognition of the authority’s steadfast commitment to providing patient-centered healthcare and its pioneering role in building an innovative healthcare model.
Dr. Essam Al Zarouni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at Emirates Health Services, affirmed that this achievement consolidates the authority’s position at the forefront of the regional health scene, adding: “We are proud of this win which reflects our keenness to enhance patient experience and embodies our commitment to the UAE government’s Future Services Charter, especially the ‘People First’ clause that places individuals’ needs and aspirations at the core of government service design. This honor motivates us to continue fostering innovation, empowering national cadres, and developing sustainable health services that support the wise leadership’s directions towards a healthier future and better quality of life.”
Six hospitals affiliated with the authority distinguished themselves by presenting qualitative projects that earned nine awards across various categories.
Fujairah Hospital won the silver award in the Innovation and Technology category, while Al Qasimi Hospital won three awards: the gold award for Continuity of Care and Transformation Management, the silver award for Patient-Centered Care and Community Engagement, and the gold award for Safety and Quality of Care.
Both Kuwait Dubai Hospital and Saqr Hospital received the gold award for Patient-Centered Care and Community Engagement, while Kalba Hospital won the silver award in the same category. Masafi Hospital earned two silver awards in the categories of Staff and Care Providers Participation and Development, and Patient-Centered Care and Community Engagement.
The wins represent recognition of Emirates Health Services’ pioneering status and its ability to establish new standards for patient experience that go beyond traditional care to adopt an integrated model combining quality, innovation, and human dimension, enhancing the UAE’s position as a leading healthcare destination regionally and globally.
