Eight clubs out of 14 competing in the ADNOC Professional League have closed their contracts with foreign players as part of their efforts to strengthen their squads before the start of the first round of the league on August 16. The eight clubs announced their new season signings, including foreign players, either new contracts or retained from last season. These clubs are Al Ain, Khorfakkan, Al Nasr, Sharjah, Dibba, Al Wasl, Khorfakkan, and Ajman. Meanwhile, clubs such as Shabab Al Ahli, Bani Yas, Al Wahda, Al Dhafra, Al Jazira, and Al Bataeh have not closed their foreign players file yet, awaiting further transfers during the summer transfer window which closes on October 1.

Al Ain is the most stable club in terms of foreign players, retaining four players from last season: Togolese Laba Kodjo, Paraguayan Alejandro Romero (Kaku), Moroccan Sofiane Rahimi, and South Korean Park Yong. They signed only one new foreign player, Egyptian defender Rami Rabia on a free transfer from Al Ahly.

Khorfakkan strengthened its foreign players with two new signings: Iranian Ahmad Noorollah and compatriot Mehdi Mohayi, joining the trio from last season: Slovenian defender Miha Blazic, and Iranians Saman Ghoddos and Shahriar Moghanlou.

Al Nasr made significant changes by releasing four foreign players last season and signing Serbian defender Luka Milivojevic and Iranian Mehdi Ghaedi, while retaining Colombian Kevin Agudelo, Italian Manolo Gabbiadini, and Belgian-Moroccan Othman Bousaïd.

Sharjah retained Tunisian Firas Belarbi and Korean Young Sho, then signed Brazilian Igor Coronado, Albanian Rey Manaj, and Argentine defensive midfielder Jeronimo Poblete.

Dibba, recently promoted to the professional league, was the most active, signing five foreign players including Brazilian defender Iago Santos, midfielder Carlos Vinicius, Uzbek defensive midfielder Abdullah Yev, Jordanian winger Mahmoud Al-Mardi, and Iraqi international striker Mohanad Ali.

Al Wasl changed four foreign players, keeping Moroccan defender Sofiane Bouftini and signing Peruvian Renato Tapia, Brazilian Mateus Saldana, returning player Adrílson Silva, and Cape Verde winger Serginho.

Ajman completed its foreign quintet by signing Bosnian playmaker Dino Hotic, Macedonian defender Gjoko Zajkov, and Brazilian Yuri Matheus, joining Moroccan Walid Azaro and Jamaican Junior.

Khorfakkan signed Cameroonian Koundé from Dibba Al-Hisn, retaining Moroccan Tarik Tissoudali, Portuguese Elton Felipe, Brazilian Lourency Rodriguez, and South Korean Kwon Kyung-won.

Shabab Al Ahli, Bani Yas, Al Wahda, Al Dhafra, Al Jazira, and Al Bataeh have not finalized their foreign player lists yet. The summer transfer window remains open until October 1.
