The national swimming team is participating in the third edition of the Asian Youth Games hosted by Bahrain from October 22 to 31.
The national team will be represented by Omar Noah in the 50m, 100m, 200m freestyle and 50m butterfly events; Ali Al-Badour in the 100m, 200m, 400m freestyle and 200m butterfly; Tara Al-Aloul in the 50m, 100m, 200m breaststroke and 100m butterfly; and Jana Al-Taweel in the 50m, 100m, 200m freestyle and 50m butterfly.
The national team coach, Rahaf Baqleh, noted that recent training sessions have shown a remarkable improvement in the swimmers’ physical and technical performance, emphasizing the athletes’ high commitment during preparation, which gives the team great confidence ahead of the competitions.
She added that participating in the Asian Youth Games is an important opportunity to compete with elite swimmers from various Asian countries, which helps refine the young swimmers’ skills and boost their readiness for upcoming challenges.
She expressed hope that the team will achieve positive results and proudly represent the nation in this major continental event.
The swimming competitions will take place from October 27 to 30.
