The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has begun accepting registration applications for scholarships for the “Spring 2026” semester.

It has set 12 conditions to obtain the scholarship, noting that the registration deadline will close on November 7, the final date to complete scholarship application requirements is November 21, and the announcement of final scholarship application results will be on November 28.

The ministry specified nine reasons for rejecting academic acceptance letters.

The ministry requires applicants to be citizens of the country, meet the conditions for the academic degree applied for, have acceptance from a university and major within the universities and majors specified by the ministry for scholarships, pass interviews, competency tests, and have previous qualifications equivalency and authentication.

The conditions include commitment to full-time study on campus abroad, providing a certificate of exemption, deferment, or completion of national service (for males only), signing a declaration to comply with scholarship regulations and any other related declarations determined by the ministry after final approval of the scholarship, not holding a full scholarship from any institution inside or outside the country, not having previously been sponsored for the same or lower degree by the ministry or any other entity or self-funded, and not having had a previous scholarship canceled for any reason.

The ministry also requires academic acceptance letters to include the major and a link to the program from the university website if not mentioned in the acceptance letter. It pointed out that acceptance letters including training periods, English language programs, dual degree or dual major programs, or preparatory programs preceding graduate studies such as (Pre-Master) will not be considered.

Reasons for rejecting academic acceptance letters include an additional academic year for the master’s stage (for bachelor’s applicants), studying programs offered via distance learning, studying MBA or Executive MBA programs, or programs and courses designed for professionals at administrative or executive levels, or programs offered through continuing education centers or professional studies.

Scholarship Majors

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stated that scholarships are available in all majors, with selection criteria requiring that the university be among the top 50 universities in the intended major, or that the university and major be among the top 100 universities in the United States and Australia, or the top 200 universities in other countries, or among the top 300 universities in non-English speaking countries.
