Under the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and the supervision of Major General Khaled Mijawar, Governor of North Sinai, Dr. Amr Adel Abdel Aal, Deputy Minister of Health in North Sinai, held a meeting with the pharmacy management team and the regional drug warehouse. The meeting included key officials such as Dr. Mohamed El-Wazir, Deputy Director of Pharmacy Management, Dr. Alaa Abdel Azim, Director of Drug Supply, Dr. Mahmoud Khidr, Warehouse Manager, Dr. Mohamed Ramadan, Strategic Planning Director, and other technical and administrative directors. The meeting aimed to discuss establishing a new strategic warehouse in North Sinai to enhance the stock of medicines and medical supplies in the governorate and ensure their continuous availability.

The new warehouse will hold a stock sufficient for three months to supply all health entities in North Sinai, including health insurance warehouses and the comprehensive health insurance system in the upcoming phase. The Deputy Minister recommended forming a committee to conduct a deeper feasibility study, inspect current warehouses, and search for a suitable and spacious location for the new warehouse. The project aims to prevent interruptions in drug supplies and essential medical supplies, emphasizing the importance of continuous availability and maintaining the strategic stock. Weekly consumption rates should be set to guarantee uninterrupted flow of medicines and supplies, thereby strengthening the health system’s ability to meet citizens’ needs in the governorate.
