Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich threatened to destroy the Palestinian National Authority as happened in the Gaza Strip.

During a press conference alongside heads of settlement councils titled “Sovereignty Imposition Plan,” he said, “We will impose Israeli sovereignty over 82% of the occupied West Bank.”

Smotrich attacked the United Nations conference and the countries that will recognize the Palestinian state, saying that annexing the West Bank is our tool to confront the political attack on Israel through international recognitions.

He explained that “Israel absolutely opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state as it poses a threat to its security, and there is broad consensus on annexing the West Bank. It is time to annex it and eliminate the option of establishing a Palestinian state.”
