Syrian Minister of Justice Mazhar Al-Wais met today with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) led by Hala Rizk to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in supporting the justice sector, during a meeting held at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus.
Minister Al-Wais emphasized the importance of converting international support into practical and implementable programs, highlighting the judiciary’s role as a fundamental pillar in the reconstruction process. Meanwhile, the UNDP representative affirmed the continuation of support within the framework of rehabilitation and development efforts.
The UNDP contributes in Syria by supporting reconstruction and development projects, funding several initiatives to rehabilitate infrastructure, especially in the education and health sectors.
