Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Eng. Hani Aboutrika, President of the Egyptian Football Association, visited the Egypt national team camp in Morocco in preparation for the Arab Cup. They met with the technical staff led by Helmy Tolan and the players in a motivational session to check on the technical and psychological preparations before the friendly and official matches.

The visit came after the Sports Minister and Aboutrika supported the national team in their match against Djibouti, which saw the Pharaohs qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals, a milestone that gave a strong morale boost to all national teams.

During the meeting, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy emphasized the importance of good preparation and delivering outstanding performance and results during the Arab Cup scheduled to be held in Qatar next December. He stressed the full support of the state for all national teams. Meanwhile, Eng. Hani Aboutrika praised the current team’s composition, considering it includes promising players capable of achieving excellent results, stating, “We have great ambitions for this team in the upcoming competitions.”

The meeting was attended by the Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif, Eng. Khaled El-Derandly, Vice President of the Federation, and Ahmed Helmy El-Sherif and Mohamed Abu Hussein, members of the Egyptian Football Association board.

The Egypt national team participating in the Arab Cup, led by Captain Helmy Tolan, concluded their training on Wednesday evening in preparation for a friendly match against Morocco, scheduled for Thursday at 8 PM Cairo time at Al-Bashir Stadium in Mohammedia, Morocco.

The technical staff focused during training on tactical and technical aspects, confirming the readiness of all players to participate in the match, which is considered a strong test before the Arab Cup competitions begin in Qatar next December.
