Manama, September 3 /BNA/ His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, praised the official visit made by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, considering it a new impetus for the historic brotherly and strong strategic partnership between the two countries and peoples, under the high patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and his brother His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt.

The Foreign Minister noted the warm reception His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation at the Ittihadiya Palace, highlighting the intimacy and sincerity of feelings that reflected the President’s love and appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain, its king, government, and people. He also praised the constructive brotherly talks that reflected the strong bonds and close cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt, under the care and attention of the King and the Egyptian President, serving the interests of both countries and peoples.

The Minister valued the positive outcomes of the extensive official talks held by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and senior officials in the Egyptian government, which confirmed the keenness of the leaderships and governments of both countries to strengthen cooperation and strategic partnership in various political, economic, and cultural fields, and the alignment of diplomatic visions regarding regional and international developments, within the shared interest of consolidating security, stability, and peace in the region and the world.

The Minister highlighted the visit’s culmination in signing several agreements and memoranda of understanding that support cooperation, joint coordination, and exchange of expertise in multiple fields including encouraging investment projects, sustainable development, customs cooperation, tourism, labor and human resources, urban and regional planning, youth and sports, social insurance, social affairs, strategic cooperation in organizing exhibitions and joint markets, enhancing investment relations, antiquities and museums, competition protection, and the aluminum industry, achieving common developmental interests.

The Foreign Minister also expressed Bahrain’s support and appreciation for Egypt’s diplomatic efforts and initiatives calling for peaceful resolution of regional and international conflicts, foremost among them the cessation of war in the Gaza Strip, protection of civilians, release of hostages and detainees, and facilitating sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid, alongside following up on the Arab and Islamic plan for recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, and pushing efforts for just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, consistent with Bahrain’s initiatives calling for an international peace conference. Bahrain also looks forward through its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2026-2027 to enhancing Arab national security and consolidating peaceful coexistence, security, stability, and prosperity regionally and globally.

The Foreign Minister concluded by affirming that the warm official reception and distinguished diplomatic arrangements for His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister during his visit to Egypt reflect the high status and great appreciation from the Egyptian leadership, embodying the deep historic brotherly relations between the leaderships and peoples of the two countries, characterized by continuous keenness to elevate cooperation and integration to broader levels toward a comprehensive strategic and developmental partnership, serving as a model of solidarity and joint Arab action, and adherence to the firm values and principles of security, peace, and prosperity for the benefit of the peoples of the region and the world.
