Manama, August 31 /BNA/ – The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority organized today, Sunday, a specialized training workshop in the field of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center. The workshop was presented by Mr. Khalid bin Waleed Al-Zadjali, Director of the Oman Conferences Office at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman, with the participation of 50 representatives from various sectors related to business tourism, including the Marketing and Promotion Department of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the Bahrain Exhibition Center (EWB) management, several hotels and travel agencies, in addition to representatives from the Economic Development Board (EDB) and some active governmental and social entities in this field.
During the workshop, the Director of the Oman Conferences Office at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman reviewed Oman’s experience in hosting and organizing regional and international conferences, and ways to benefit from these experiences within the executive program of the memorandum of understanding between the two brotherly countries in the field of tourism cooperation, contributing to exchanging expertise and unifying efforts to achieve common goals to develop the exhibition and conference tourism sector in both countries.
