Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, Al-Ahly star, will miss the third round matches of the Egyptian Premier League due to his team’s absence, giving his competitors a chance to lead the top scorers if they score this week. Zizo leads the scorers after netting two goals against Pharco in the second round, tied with Abdel Rahim Daghmoum, Al-Masry Port Said star, in a thrilling race for the top scorer title. Daghmoum shined in the first round, scoring a brace to lead his team to a 3-1 victory over Al-Ittihad Alexandria. He also won the best player award in the match against Tala’ea El-Gaish, which ended 3-0 in favor of Al-Masry, after assisting two goals. Several players from Al-Ahly and Zamalek share second place with one goal each, including Nasser Maher, Mohamed Shehata, Gradišar, Mohamed Sherif, Ahmed Reda, and Yassin Marei.
