Al Mokawloon Al Arab football team is facing a clear offensive crisis, having failed to score any goals in the first four rounds of the Egyptian Premier League. The team started the season with a 2-0 loss to ZED, followed by goalless draws against Zamalek and Haras El Hodoud, and a 1-0 loss to Petrojet. So far, Al Mokawloon have conceded three goals and scored none. The team is preparing to face Ceramica in the fifth round at Osman Ahmed Osman Stadium. Recently, the club unveiled its alternative blue kit used for the first time this season against Petrojet. Founded in 1973 by engineer Hussein Osman, then chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Al Mokawloon has established itself as a major club in Egyptian football. The club has won three continental titles, ranking third after Al Ahly and Zamalek among Egyptian clubs with continental trophies.
Their first local league title was in 1982, the same year they won the African Cup Winners’ Cup. The club has produced many stars who shined on African and global stages, including Karim Abdulrazak, Antoine Bell, John Utaka, Ismail Diwan, Samir Kamouna, Ali Shehata, Mohamed Salah, Abdel Sattar Sabry, and Mohamed Elneny.
