His Excellency Sheikh Nayhan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Honorary President of the UAE Badminton Federation, received the federation delegation at his council in Abu Dhabi, headed by Her Excellency Noora Hassan Al Jasmi, along with board members.

During the meeting, which followed the reappointment of the federation’s board for a new electoral term, Al Jasmi and the board members reviewed the most prominent achievements of the past period, including winning dozens of medals regionally and internationally, achieving a historic qualification for the first time to the Badminton World Championship in Paris, hosting the country’s first edition of the World Outdoor Badminton Cup in Sharjah, winning the first official Emirati medal in an international championship under the International Federation’s umbrella, and securing advanced positions in the global rankings, in addition to building strategic partnerships with local, regional, and international sports institutions.

The board renewed its request for His Excellency Sheikh Nayhan to continue his honorary presidency for the new term, which he kindly accepted, reaffirming his ongoing support for efforts to develop badminton, expand its reach, provide an enabling environment to nurture national talents, and enhance the country’s presence in international forums.

At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Sheikh Nayhan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for his warm reception and generous patronage of the federation, confirming their commitment to continue working to consolidate the UAE’s position on the global badminton map.
