His Highness Sheikh Nayhan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, affirmed that the United Arab Emirates is a pioneer in sustainable global charitable initiatives, following the immortal humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, towards giving, charity, helping the needy, aiding the afflicted, and solidarity among humans regardless of origin, race, color, nationality, or religion.
On the occasion of the International Day of Charity, His Highness stated that the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, is keen to continue charitable and humanitarian work and to provide assistance and support to all those in need and affected by earthquakes, floods, and conflicts across all continents. This includes pioneering UAE charitable contributions and initiatives to provide food, medicine, improve health and education, and supply water and shelter necessities in countries and communities facing developmental challenges and critical crises.
His Highness added that the UAE has established a distinguished global reputation in urgent charitable and humanitarian aid to address the effects of disasters and crises to stand with various peoples and communities. UAE teams swiftly provide the necessary humanitarian and relief support to ensure a dignified life for affected communities worldwide, noting that the UAE continues its commitment to its international humanitarian responsibilities in all circumstances and times.
