Manama, September 1 /BNA/ His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King and Crown Prince, chaired the regular weekly Cabinet meeting held today at Al-Qudaibiya Palace.

At the start of the meeting, the Council extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on the occasion of the upcoming Prophet Muhammad’s birthday anniversary, praying to God to bless His Majesty and the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic nations with goodness, joy, security, and peace.

The Council then followed up on the Crown Prince’s directive to hold an orientation day at all public schools for parents, where educational and administrative staff provide explanations about the new academic year. The Council expressed its best wishes for success to students and educational and administrative bodies across all school stages for the academic year 2025-2026.

Next, the Council affirmed Bahrain’s support for all initiatives that promote a culture of charitable work in communities, in light of the International Day of Charity.

Thereafter, the Council approved the following memoranda:

    • Memorandum from the Coordinating Committee regarding a package of priority draft laws to meet development requirements for the benefit of citizens.
    • Memorandum from the Ministerial Committee on Legal and Legislative Affairs concerning a draft law approving an agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the International Date Palm Council regarding the headquarters of the International Date Palm Observatory in Bahrain.
    • Memorandum from the Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs regarding the expropriation of several properties for public benefit to provide necessary spaces for urban development.
    • Memorandum from the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Board of the Education and Training Quality Authority regarding the Education and Training System report for the academic year 2024-2025.
    • Memorandum from the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Board of the Education and Training Quality Authority regarding the proposed general framework for reviewing the performance of special education needs institutions.
    • Memorandum from the Ministerial Committee on Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding the government’s response to a draft law proposal and several motions submitted by the Council of Representatives.

    The Council then took note through ministerial reports of the following:

    • Results of participation in the ministerial meeting to establish a legally binding instrument to end plastic pollution, including marine environment.
    • Results of participation in the Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Forum 2025.
    • Results of the visit of Her Excellency the Minister of Youth Affairs to the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
    • External participations of Their Excellencies Ministers and visits of ministers from brotherly and friendly countries to the Kingdom of Bahrain in September 2025.
