Pyramids will host their Moroccan counterpart Renaissance Berkane at the Air Defense Stadium for the 2025 African Super Cup title, as the Sky Team seeks a new crowning achievement to bolster their historic accomplishment on the African continent after winning the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history.

The match between Pyramids and Renaissance Berkane will take place at 8 PM next Saturday at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo, the home ground of Pyramids Club.

The match will be officiated by a refereeing team led by Sudanese referee Mahmoud Ismail, assisted by his compatriot Mohamed Abdullah as first assistant, Kenyan Gilbert Cheruiyot as second assistant, and Mauritanian Abdelaziz Bouh as fourth official. The VAR refereeing team is headed by Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea, assisted by Tom Abu Ngil from South Africa and Stephen Onyango from Kenya.

Match observers include Ghanaian Ransford Abey, referee observer René Daniel from Congo, general coordinator Essam Shaaban from Sudan, security coordinator Okey Obi from Nigeria, and assistant general coordinator Moatazallah Dashrawi from Tunisia.

Al Ahly Club has won the African Super Cup 8 times, first in 2002 in the final against South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs, while Egypt’s Zamalek has won the African Super Cup 5 times, with their first title in 1994 after defeating Al Ahly in the final.

Pyramids were crowned champions of the CAF Champions League for the first time by defeating South Africa’s Sundowns, while Moroccan Renaissance Berkane won the CAF Confederation Cup against Tanzania’s Simba.

The Zamalek football team won the last edition of the African Super Cup held in Saudi Arabia, beating Al Ahly 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time.
