The Professional Clubs Association confirmed in an official statement that match times have been changed to 6 PM and 9 PM instead of the previous 5 PM and 8 PM during August, to ensure the health and safety of players and spectators due to the high temperatures in August. The new season 2025-2026 of the Egyptian Premier League features 21 teams after the relegation was canceled last season and 3 teams were promoted from the second division.

The league includes teams such as Al Ahly, Zamalek, Pyramids, Ismaily, Al Masry, Al Ittihad, Ceramica, Al Gouna, National Bank, Modern Sport, Enppi, Tala’ea El Gaish, ZED, Pharco, Smouha, Ghazl El Mahalla, Haras El Hodoud, Petrojet, Al Mokawloon Al Arab, Wadi Degla, and Electricity Ismailia. Al Ahly won the previous league title by just two points ahead of Pyramids after a strong competition. Matches on Thursday include Al Ittihad Alexandria vs Modern Sport at 6 PM, Tala’ea El Gaish vs Al Masry at 9 PM, and Pyramids vs Ismaily at 9 PM. On Friday, August 15, matches include Petrojet vs Electricity Ismailia at 6 PM, Al Ahly vs Pharco at 9 PM, Haras El Hodoud vs National Bank at 9 PM, Zamalek vs Al Mokawloon Al Arab at 9 PM, and Ghazl El Mahalla vs Smouha at 9 PM. ON Sport channel will broadcast the Egyptian League matches with an analytical studio featuring stars of Egyptian football.
