The Morocco local team faces a heavyweight clash against Senegal this Tuesday evening in the semi-final of the current African Nations Championship hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The Morocco vs Senegal match will take place at 8:30 PM Cairo time in Kampala, Uganda’s capital. Morocco, two-time champions, qualified by defeating host Tanzania 1-0 in Dar es Salaam in the quarter-finals. Senegal, the defending champions, advanced to the semi-finals after beating Uganda 1-0 in Kampala. The other semi-final features Madagascar vs Sudan at 5:30 PM. Sudan qualified after winning against Algeria 4-2 on penalties in the quarter-finals at Amani Stadium. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced a significant increase in total prize money for the 2024 African Nations Championship to $10.4 million, a 32% rise. The winning team will receive $3.5 million, a 75% increase from the previous edition, boosting competition and fan interest.
