On Thursday, August 7, Salima Bekhta Mansouri, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of African Affairs, arrived in Pretoria, South Africa, to chair the 10th session of the Steering Committee of the African Peer Review Mechanism contact points. According to the national radio, during this session, held under Algeria’s presidency of the Forum of Heads of State and Government of the Mechanism, the renewal of the membership of the Eminent Persons Committee will be studied, alongside discussions on several administrative, organizational, and financial issues related to the management of the Mechanism, including monitoring the implementation of the 2024-2028 strategic plan and the continental governance assessment report for 2025.
