The Egypt U17 team born in 2008 has completed its preparations for a friendly match against Tunisia scheduled for Monday, as part of the build-up to the FIFA U-17 World Cup taking place from November 3 to 27, 2025. This edition is the first U-17 World Cup to feature 48 teams.

The Egypt U17 team secured a 3-2 victory over Tunisia on Friday in a match held at the Goal Project Stadium in 6th of October City. The Egyptian goals were scored by Bilal Atiya, Muhannad Al-Shami, and Abdelaziz Al-Zoghbi.

The technical staff of the national U17 team, led by Ahmed Al-Kass, announced the squad that entered a closed training camp starting October 7 until the departure to Qatar, in preparation for the World Cup participation.

The squad includes: Goalkeepers: Omar Abdel Aziz, Amr Adel, Mohamed Tarek, Fadi Wael; Defenders: Nour Ashraf, Hamza Al-Dajoui, Mohamed Sherif, Fares Fakhri, Adham Farid, Ahmed Samir, Ammar Mohamed El-Sayed, Marwan Essam, Muhannad Al-Shami, Yassin Hossam; Midfielders: Omar Abu Talib, Basel Medhat, Omar Kamal, Mohamed Hamad, Bilal Atiya, Anas Rushdi, Mohamed Sobih, Ibrahim Al-Najawi, Karim Gomaa, Saif Al-Jabali; Forwards: Hamza Abdelkarim, Abdelaziz Al-Zoghbi, Ziad Ayoub.

Egypt is participating in the tournament for the first time since 1997. The Pharaohs’ youth team is placed in Group E alongside England, Venezuela, and Haiti.

It is worth noting that Egypt is among 10 African teams participating in the U17 World Cup. They qualified as winners of the playoff between the third-placed team in Group 2 and Angola, the third-placed team in Group 4, at the recent African championship.
