Time Magazine included Apple’s new AirPods Pro 3 wireless earbuds and one of the company’s latest smartwatches among the top 300 inventions of 2025.

This selection was due to new features in this edition of the AirPods Pro, such as instant translation and heart rate tracking.

The AirPods Pro 3 shared the Best Consumer Electronics category this year with other products including the “70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni” car camera, the “Antigravity A1” drone, and the “Belkin Stage PowerGrip” holder, according to the list of the top 300 inventions in 2025.

Time Magazine said the earbuds — unveiled by Apple in September — represent a “huge leap forward,” according to John Ternus, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering.

In addition to doubling the noise cancellation capability of the previous generation AirPods Pro, tracking users’ heart rate with an optical pulse sensor, and functioning as a hearing aid when needed, the earbuds’ instant translation feature can translate conversations instantly between friends speaking French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, or English using Apple Intelligence AI features.

This feature is expected to support Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese languages by the end of the year.

Apple Watch Series 11

Time Magazine also selected Apple’s “Apple Watch Series 11” to be in the wearable technology category on the list of best inventions of 2025.

This smartwatch shared the category with other products including the “Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro,” smart “Incora Earrings,” and “RayNeo X3 Pro” glasses.

The magazine said the Series 11 watch comes equipped with a blood pressure monitoring feature approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which alerts users when signs of chronic high blood pressure appear.

It added that the watch uses data from the optical heart sensor to analyze how the user’s blood vessels respond to each heartbeat.
