According to the statement, “President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from U.S. President Donald Trump while he was in Israel accompanied by the Israeli Prime Minister, who also spoke with the president. They agreed on Trump’s attendance at the peace summit in which Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will participate.”
Meanwhile, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi decided to award U.S. President Donald Trump the Nile Collar in recognition of his prominent contributions to supporting peace efforts, defusing conflicts, and most recently his pivotal role in stopping the war in Gaza.
The peace plan proposed by the U.S. president a few days ago resulted in a ceasefire and an ongoing process to exchange hostages between Israel and Hamas, amid hopes of ending the war and establishing peace in the region.
