Three prominent Qatari diplomats from the delegation heading to Sharm El-Sheikh to participate in a crucial international summit aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip were killed in a tragic car accident.
The accident occurred on the international road in South Sinai, about 50 kilometers before reaching the tourist city, when the official car carrying the delegation overturned, resulting in the immediate death of three members and serious injuries to two others who are receiving treatment in local hospitals.
The diplomats who died were Hassan Jaber Al-Jaber, Abdullah Ghanem Al-Khuraineen, and Saud bin Thamer Al-Thani, all working in the Amiri Diwan and the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegation was accompanying the Qatari Prime Minister on an urgent diplomatic mission amid expectations of signing a historic agreement to end the conflict in Gaza.
Photos of the overturned car circulated on the roadside, revealing the extent of the destruction as the official vehicle was reduced to a wreck with clear signs of multiple rollovers.
