Vietnamese authorities announced on Tuesday that at least three people have died and ten others were injured due to Typhoon Kajiki which struck the country. They warned of floods and landslides caused by heavy rains. The Vietnamese government stated that the typhoon destroyed about 7,000 homes and flooded 28,800 hectares of rice fields. It also caused the fall of 18,000 trees and 331 electricity poles, leading to power outages in the provinces of Tan Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thai Nguyen, and Phu Tho. Heavy rain also flooded the streets of the capital, Hanoi.
