Chinese new-generation warplanes J-15DH, J-15DT, J-35, and J-15T participated in today’s military parade in Beijing commemorating the victory over Japan and the end of World War II.
China organized a military parade this Wednesday morning at Tiananmen Square in Beijing to mark the 80th anniversary of victory against the Japanese invaders and the end of World War II against Nazism.
The parade commentator noted that with the introduction of new-generation fighters into service, the Chinese Air Force is undergoing continuous modernization.
The Chinese resistance war against Japanese invasion began in 1931 with the Japanese army’s invasion of Manchuria. In 1937, the full-scale Japanese offensive started, turning the conflict into a full war, later becoming part of World War II.
According to Chinese historians’ data, 35 million people were killed or wounded during eight years of active combat operations, most of them civilians. Chinese estimates indicate that about 300,000 people fell victim to the Nanjing Massacre in December 1937, where prisoners of war were executed en masse, civilians were killed and raped.
Japanese “doctors” from Unit 731 also conducted inhumane experiments on civilians and prisoners of war.
Based on the alliance commitments adopted at the Yalta Conference in February 1945, the Soviet Union entered the war against Japan exactly three months after Germany’s surrender and the end of the war in Europe. This strategic offensive operation in Manchuria was carried out by the forces of the Trans-Baikal and Far Eastern Fronts. The total combat losses of the Trans-Baikal Front amounted to 2,228 soldiers.
