The Egyptian Golf Federation announced a record international participation in the Egypt Amateur Championship 2025, scheduled to take place from October 16 to 18, 2025, at Dreamland Golf Club in Cairo.

More than 60 players representing 15 countries will participate, including the United States, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Egypt as the host country.

This year’s edition marks a qualitative shift in the tournament’s history, as the Egyptian Golf Federation announced cash prizes for the winners for the first time, alongside the introduction of a new category, the Seniors (over 50 years old), with more than 40 players representing about 10 Arab and foreign countries participating.

Omar Hesham Talaat, President of the Egyptian Golf Federation, confirmed:

“We are proud to launch the Egypt Seniors Championship for the first time, allowing players of all ages to participate together in this historic event. This championship is not just a sporting achievement but also a strong boost to sports tourism in Egypt.”

He added:

“The Egypt Open Amateur Championship is one of the oldest and most prestigious tournaments in the Middle East and Africa since its inception in 1920. It is recognized within the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and the Arab Golf Series (AGS), affirming our commitment to expanding the game’s base and enhancing Egypt’s status as a global destination for hosting international sports tournaments.”
