The director of Yarmouk Hospital in Bani Kinanah District, Ahmed Al-Akkour, stated that the hospital provides health services to approximately 450,000 people in the northern governorates and Bani Kinanah District.

Al-Akkour added on Sunday that Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, during his routine field visits to the hospital, directed the construction of a new outpatient clinic building at the hospital, alongside increasing the number of dialysis beds from 11 to 25.

He pointed out that the Prime Minister also ordered the hospital to be supplied with the necessary medical devices and equipment, and to strengthen the specialized medical and technical staff, contributing to improving the level of services provided to citizens.

Al-Akkour explained that the new clinic building will be built on land adjacent to the hospital owned by the Ministry of Health, covering an area of 1,600 square meters, and will consist of two floors.

He also noted that the Prime Minister directed supplying the hospital with an MRI machine due to the increasing number of patients requiring this type of examination, in addition to expanding and updating the oxygen network to meet the hospital’s growing needs.

He mentioned that the hospital had previously undergone an expansion that increased the number of beds from 67 to 126, adding that the hospital receives about 1,000 visitors daily across its various departments.
