Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, inaugurated today, Wednesday, the “Welcome Schools” exhibition held in Al-Noor district in Sharm El Sheikh, in the presence of Mohamed Wahid, President of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in South Sinai, Engineer Ayman Abdel Ghani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, and Major General Nader Allam, Head of Sharm El Sheikh city.
The governor inspected the exhibition to monitor discount rates and product quality, directing the continuation of the exhibition until the start of the new school year, with periodic follow-ups by all concerned authorities to ensure merchants comply with discount rates, product quality, and availability of goods that citizens seek to buy.
He confirmed that this exhibition is the second in the governorate after the opening of an exhibition in the city of Tour Sinai, noting that an exhibition will be held in every city as part of preparations to welcome the new school year and as part of an initiative to support families and provide school supplies at reasonable prices, emphasizing the state’s keenness to ease the economic burdens on citizens, especially at the beginning of the school year.
For his part, Engineer Ayman Abdel Ghani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, said that the “Welcome Schools” exhibition was held in Al-Noor district because it is a vital area in the center of Sharm El Sheikh, allowing all city residents easy access to it and to purchase all school supplies, especially since the discount rate ranges between 20% and 30%.
He pointed out that the exhibition is held under the supervision of the Supply Directorate, the Chamber of Commerce, and in cooperation with the local unit of Sharm El Sheikh city, and includes a number of exhibitors offering products including school supplies, bags, clothes, shoes, and other study necessities.
The Chamber of Commerce president confirmed that organizing exhibitions is part of the social role the chamber plays; to provide high-quality goods at competitive prices, supporting citizens and encouraging early preparation for the school year.
