The General Secretariat of the Cabinet affirmed that the country is steadily progressing in its developmental plans within an integrated framework that combines investment in human capital and diversification of the national economy. Efforts include developing the education sector, enhancing the health system, attracting foreign direct investment, and developing smart and environmentally friendly transport, alongside consolidating the state’s role as an active player on the international stage.

These efforts align with the Cabinet’s directives last year, which gave special importance to building a comprehensive development system that keeps pace with changes and serves the goals of comprehensive development.

In this regard, His Excellency Mr. Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al-Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said: “Qatar adopts a diplomatic approach that enhances international sustainability by expanding cooperation and multilateral partnerships, which consolidates Qatar’s role in achieving global security and peace.”

He explained that the Cabinet’s work emphasized the importance of this role in enhancing regional and international stability and developing international development cooperation, as part of the state’s commitment to global responsibility and balanced development.

Meanwhile, Her Excellency Mrs. Lolwa bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, stated that the ministry continues its efforts to build an advanced and sustainable educational system that meets future requirements and promotes innovation and academic excellence. She added: “We rely on the Cabinet’s directives, which supported the development of educational policies last year and focused on empowering national competencies and improving the quality of educational outputs in line with comprehensive developmental transformations.”

For his part, His Excellency Mr. Mansour bin Ibrahim bin Saad Al-Mahmoud, Minister of Public Health, explained that the Ministry of Health focuses on developing an integrated health system that enhances the quality of care and expands preventive and therapeutic services.

He added: “The Cabinet’s decisions last year contributed to supporting health modernization and expansion paths, based on our commitment to community welfare and ensuring the sustainability of health services within a comprehensive developmental vision.”

– Enabling economic sustainability

His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, mentioned that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry seeks to enable economic sustainability by diversifying income sources, supporting small and medium enterprises, encouraging entrepreneurship, and attracting foreign direct investment. The Cabinet’s decisions contributed to formulating flexible policies that enhance the competitiveness of the national economy and drive balanced and comprehensive growth.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Minister of Transport, also confirmed that the ministry is proceeding with implementing digital transformation projects to enhance sustainability in the transport sector by developing smart infrastructure and employing smart city technologies. The policies approved by the Cabinet form a solid foundation to accelerate this transformation, enhancing logistics efficiency and contributing to the development of an environmentally friendly transport sector.
