US President Donald Trump announced the end of the Gaza war, stating that “things will turn out well in Gaza.”

Before departing for Israel and Egypt on a highly significant trip, Trump said: “We have many verbal guarantees regarding Gaza and hostages might be released a bit earlier.”

Trump added: “I believe the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel will hold, and a peace council will be quickly formed for Gaza,” noting that Gaza “looks like a demolition site.”

The US president headed yesterday to Israel and Egypt on a trip he described as “very special” as part of efforts to end the war in Gaza.

The presidential plane took off from Andrews Air Force Base near Washington in rainy weather.

Trump is accompanied on his trip by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, according to the White House.
