The kickoff whistle will sound at 20:00 Moscow and Amman time, with the match broadcast live on the Russian channels “Match TV” and “Match Premier TV”, as well as the Jordanian Sports Channel.
The Jordanian national team is going through an unprecedented historic phase, having secured for the first time a qualification ticket to the 2026 World Cup after an impressive performance in the Asian qualifiers.
“The Nashama” also reached the final of the 2024 Asian Cup before losing to Qatar.
The Jordanian team currently ranks 64th in the FIFA world rankings and is looking to strengthen its experience against a strong team through this match.
On the other hand, the Russian team is playing this match after being absent from official competitions for more than two years due to sanctions imposed by FIFA and UEFA because of geopolitical situations.
The “Russian Bear” is currently ranked 35th globally.
Under the leadership of coach Valery Karpin, the Russian team recently played a series of friendly matches, the latest being a big 4-1 victory over Belarus on June 10 in Minsk.
After this match, the Jordanian team will continue its preparations in Jordan, where it will face the Dominican Republic in another friendly match.
Russia will play a friendly against Qatar next Sunday at the “Al Sadd” stadium in the Qatari city of Al Rayyan.
