The 6th Annual Conference of the Emirates Oncology Society concluded with the attendance of over 700 leaders in medicine and scientific research, issuing important recommendations to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced medical technologies in cancer diagnosis and disease monitoring.
Participants called for expanding genetic and molecular testing and adopting non-invasive early diagnostic techniques, such as liquid biopsy tests, to transition to precise personalized medicine.
The conference emphasized the need to equip regional centers, train personnel, and invest in local and regional clinical research to reflect the population characteristics of the area, and to enhance cooperation with global companies to expedite access to the latest treatments for patients.
The conference discussed significant developments in medical technology, including molecular diagnosis using circulating DNA and hepatic arterial infusion pump technology for liver tumor treatment, which enhances local control and provides patients with new therapeutic opportunities.
