The UK Prime Minister’s office warned that author Sally Rooney risks committing a terrorist offense if she funds the organization “Palestine Action,” which was recently classified as a terrorist group in the UK. The Irish award-winning author announced she would donate proceeds from her books and BBC-produced series to support the organization. The UK government stated that supporting a banned organization is a crime under terrorism law and that no one should support this group. Rooney responded that if supporting Palestine Action makes her a terrorist supporter under UK law, so be it.
