US President Donald Trump announced a historic agreement to stop the spread of crimes and incidents in Washington D.C., stating: “Today I announce a historic agreement to save our country from chaos and misery from both sides. It is the day of liberation in Washington D.C., and we will reclaim the Capitol building, we will reclaim it.” He added in a video published by Youm7 TV: “Under the authorities granted to me in the United States, I activate Article 740 of the ‘District of Columbia Home Rule Act,’ placing the Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control. You will meet the people directly involved; they are excellent but strict and know what is happening, and they have done this before.” The President continued: “National Guard emissaries will be deployed to help restore law, order, and public safety in Washington D.C.

I know many of you are on the liberal side, but you do not want to be robbed, raped, shot, or killed, and you all know friends or acquaintances who have experienced that. You can be whoever you want, but you need to feel safe on the streets. You want to leave your apartment or home and go to a store to buy a newspaper or anything and feel safe, and this is not currently available.”
